This is maybe the best space photo ever, really. You owe it to yourself to at least take a look - Jupiter bigger and clearer than it has ever been. It also makes a great desktop background. I've split the big photo into different partial sections and have been rotating them every few days. Sticking in in a swf that you can zoom around in is a great way to look at it too - I guess you could even add a little spaceship windsheild : ). Anyway, what a photo.

The Leoniods weren't all that spectacular last night, but neat just the same. The sky was nice and clear, but the moon was out, and the northern lights were pretty bright too. Mostly though, there just weren't all that many. Two years ago, they were ****amazing**** in Xiamen. Every few seconds, sometimes even double streaking fireballs, whew. One short night, spoiled for life!

    Robin,

Great picture and the detail is stunning. I am left to wonder why would it take NASA 3 years to release such a spectacular photo?

    Let's hear the conspiracy theories...
