Just to let everyone who has been following the progress of the various C# and swf tools in the works here, I have joined Xamlon and am now working there. I would really really recommend taking a look at (and following) what they are doing. If you are anything like me, it is going to freak you out!

Great news! Congrats!
I look forward from hearing some more from xamlon from you.
Are you going to continue on your cs2swf compiler?

Congrats, Robin!
I wish you all the best.
If they employ people like you, then Xamlon is definitely worth a serious look.
Best regards,
Burak

Congratulations!
Looks like Xamlon has a pretty interesting product.
I was also wondering if you were going to keep working on the csswf compiler, but I guess you have been busy ;)

Hey thanks for the kind words. I really do think this project has a ton of potential, and certainly I was impressed with the people there (to say the least!). I'm sure I'll be harping more and more about it in the coming months : ).
As to the C#>swf compiler, I will be continuing to work on it, just through my work at Xamlon.

Hi Robin,
I was quite interested to see what XAMLON were doing - do they produce swfs from c# code? The demo files look like swfs, but they don't quite feel the same - does it use the GDI+ to approximate a similar type of display object?

Right now they take Xaml markup and create winform controls. So the display you see is in .Net winforms. What I'm doing is getting Xaml markup to run on swfs, that will be graphics, controls, and code. So eventually you will be able to create swfs with C# (or whatever .Net language), and the visual parts will be stored as xaml code...
It is pretty cool to see actually. They had done some awesome work before I arrived, so it is really easy to retarget from, and thus going pretty quick : ). The xaml markup is really well suited to creating flash apps, being it is a merging of svg, xul, and smil...
