C|Net covers the upcoming Xamlon Flash product here - I like how they notice that this could be good for us, good for Macromedia, good for Microsoft, and good for developers. I feel professional news coverage too often tries to pit one 'side' against another 'side', and ''someone has to lose!''. I'm pretty sure there are zero situations in real life that would actually fit into a CNN/WWE template and still be recognizable. This is especially true with an emerging technology like internet applications.

Sorry, did I just insinuate CNN can somehow be equated with professional news coverage? Yikes. Anyway, sure nice to see the word getting out a bit : )

heh good work, great exposure and I for one have been keenly keeping an eye on this product (thus I haven't compared it to FLEX or anything like that) as i'm excited about what its shaping up to be.

Good to see someone with a good idea, getting some nice PR for a change.

Xamlon sounds really cool. But how is the back-end connected to the front-end flash. With Flash you have SOAP and Remoting. How does Xamlon work?

Xamlon works in the same way. We support SOAP and remoting as well. We'll use an open format of remoting as Macromedia's is a closed format.
