Eric Sink of SourceGear writes the best blog I know of. It is a must read if you are thinking of selling marketing your own software at some point. I used to think marketing meant getting a cool name and logo (my gosh, Eric Sink -> Sync to head -> E-Sync! And man, you can ride the N-Sync wave too - think of those extra hits!) -- but its of course much more mundane and fascinating than this. At least when he writes about it. Maybe it is just the writing, but well worth a read either way. One thing though, he claims to be a rube from rural Illinois, and he specifically claims to have no secrets, but there is one. And it is a big one....

But first, speaking of marketing, there is this really cool T-Shirt they have at SourceGear, with the Evil Mastermind super villain (or hero -- it always depends on who you're cheering for). The price of it is putting a picture of yourself wearing it on your blog (aka marketing). Being a long time blog fan, and even longer time swag whore, it became an instant must have for me.
