Eric Sink of SourceGear writes the best blog I know of. It is a must read if you are thinking of selling marketing your own software at some point. I used to think marketing meant getting a cool name and logo (my gosh, Eric Sink -> Sync to head -> E-Sync! And man, you can ride the N-Sync wave too - think of those extra hits!) -- but its of course much more mundane and fascinating than this. At least when he writes about it. Maybe it is just the writing, but well worth a read either way. One thing though, he claims to be a rube from rural Illinois, and he specifically claims to have no secrets, but there is one. And it is a big one....

But first, speaking of marketing, there is this really cool T-Shirt they have at SourceGear, with the Evil Mastermind super villain (or hero -- it always depends on who you're cheering for). The price of it is putting a picture of yourself wearing it on your blog (aka marketing). Being a long time blog fan, and even longer time swag whore, it became an instant must have for me. Well lo and behold, what should appear today! So true to my word, here is the picture:

So now on to the secret. What is the biggest secret a person can have? What secret would cause an otherwise honest person to hide it from even their closest family members?

Think about it, unassuming quiet person from the mid-west.

Wears glasses...

And then there it was. Evil Mastermind #178, the Giant Red Squid episode. A secret identity!!!

Dang, I knew that face was familiar...
